On Pink Salt’s first podcast, SP Amna Baig, the first police officer on the scene of Noor’s murder, reflects on the case & shares how Pakistan is tackling technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
So true re Noor’s father! He deserves a national award so much more than the normal list of celebrities every year! He stood steadfast in the face of social abuse and pressure in simply trying to get justice for his DEAD/KILLED daughter! We need more fathers like him and also Dua Zehra’s father! May Allah grant Noor’s family sabr to get on with their lives after having lost their daughter in such a tragic way!
Way to start your podcast series with a bang! It is incredibly enlightening and, at the same time, heartbreaking to know the hurdles women have to go through to get justice. As a boy mom, I really appreciated Amna’s advice to tell our boys about these cases so they know these are people’s lives and not just numbers. I love that Amna is sharing her learnings from previous cases with us. What an honest, intelligent perspective from such a knowledgeable, hardworking woman. I hope the goals she has envisioned for the National Framework for Tech and Gender-Based Violence come to fruition. I’m so glad you made this happen Sahar!
Thank you! Amna is phenomenal. National treasure, fortunate that she could squeeze in time for this. And how fortunate is your boy to have a Mom like you to guide him 🤍

Keep up the good work Sahar. This was such an informative discussion. Kudos to Amna for all the work she is doing!!!
Thank you! Amna is the best kind of role model. She tackles the harshest environments, crimes and people, but stays soft, gentle and wise.
